learn cpr....it can save ur loved ones....
today at the A&E, 2 elderly died bcos their heart collapse and they could have been saved if the family knew cpr...the intervention was only done when the paramedics arrived by then, the patients has already collapse for a period of time which means reviving the patient back could be a problem as circulation has already stopped and probably the patient is already brain dead. IF the family knew cpr, perhaps the 2 men would've been alive....
we did what we could, i give the two cardiac compressions as my colleagues ventilate them and the doctor inject them with adrenalin, in hopes of reviving them....shocks were given but nothing could been done...help came late, if the family knew cpr, they could stand a better chance....
please go learn cpr......

i went to give ratnor support for his band...but at the same time, just catching up on the local music scene.....LCHC for today....
was bored to death for a couple of bands...but some bands like stampede and ratnor's recover, really bring back old memories.....i love hardcore music back then....but i didnt know matnor was actually stampede's drummer....anyhoos....stampede played a cover from one of my favourite bands.....Snapcase..caboose.....woots...i was screaming my lungs out...the lyrics though faded a little, bulk of it still etched in my memory... they are awesome.......and recover(ratnor's band) was awesome too....
was a great day despite getting wet along the way and the delays.....and the boring bands, it was well worth it....thnks boy for accompanying me thru out...and im glad sazz enjoyed it too...i just hope shots from my LCA turn out well...adios peeps, need to sleep to wake up early tumoro to finish up my essay....

Lomo ppl, the fun bunch....i certainly had fun today....
laughing, sweating, tiring, etc.....im enjoying life....i have very little restriction or conflicts nowadays as compared to last time, where i really had to choose between one or the other....now i just do what id like to do......the best thing is, its such a great way to unwind especially after mugging for my ICA...was a great feeling to be laughing practically the whole of friday......love you guys, everyone....
i wish to ride the singapore flyer one day....probably on my birthday, in the early morning so i can have the cabin all to myself....$29 per ride on the 29th of december when i will turn 29years old....fucken cool right?...LoL
Baked beans.....
i just had dinner.....baked beans, sausages and bread. nopes im not dead broke and nopes im not on a diet. im just plain lazy to whip up anything cos im mugging for tumoros paper...and times like this makes me miss mom....times like this made me cherish her....and reminds me how i took things that she did for the family for granted.
when i use to live with mom, i say id enjoy most mom's care towards us....she works and she still can whip up delicious meals for us and even when she's too tired to do so, she'd stop by to buy food for us....i barely need to do anything back then, occasionally id help out...boil rice and stuffs...and prepare the ingredients especially when she cook in large amounts like hari raya..... mom is the best....
i was a latch key kid from aged 9 to about 12.....through these years mom never one bit neglected me, through these years, i've never had any hardship except the occasional loneliness...
she's so capable, everything settled, we never had loans, the fridge is always loaded with food and she even had time to bring me out during her off days, i still remembered when she brought me to science center to see the dinosaur exhibition, i still have the polaroid which we took and i was wearing that favourite TMNT tee she bought me, i will scan in that soon......
none of her siblings came to help, none lend a hand, be it financially or physically, i was left to fend for myself as mom was left to bring me up single handedly....
but still society has nothing better to do but talk nonsense which pressured her to remarry......seriously i think she's better off alone than re-marrying....this is what society does....they do things in the interest of the macro perspective, the community, SAVE FACE, NAME...etc..the large family but not the individual, none at the interest of the individual....society is indeed cruel at times...

soon, polaroid films will vanish from the shelves and will be sold at ridiculous prices by individuals....at auctions and their websites...
theres always ppl who wanna make a quick buck off others interests.....if it is sold at a reasonable market price is fine.....but usually the tendency for the price to sky-rocket is inevitable....

during my teenage years i am one of those who listened to music not from the mainstream. when i was 14-15 i was influenced with bands like black flag, fugazi, minor threat, the adicts, chaos uk, sex pistols, operation ivy.....then at secondary three i met zulNY(LoL) who introduced me to NYHC and LCHC....i love it as much as the punk bands that azmi intially introduced me to. zul is actually din's(ignite records now known as straights records) elder brother, he introduced me to the LCHC community whom usually hung out at dhoby ghaut(thats where i first time met malis). anyways thats where my musical influences grow...i never sort of hang out with them but i loaned all the cds from zul like 'change of strength', 'youth of today', 'quiksand', 'madball', 'integrity' and many more.....one of my favourites which i end up buying the cds was 'shelter' and 'integrity' both for their powerful vocals and guitar riffs not so much so for the lyrics...
about 'shelter'
shelter's main man was Ray Cappo....aka 'ray of today' from his ex-band 'Youth of Today' he has this powerful not low voice like most ang-mohs have. his voice really stands out when he was with 'shelter'...then somewhere in between he formed CIV which i got hooked too, i would say a post-hardcore kinda music band...more kinder to the ears and general public, catchy tunes and some messages in their songs... and yesterday ive been listening to this fav song of mine over and over again on imeem, i even embedded it on my friendster. its amazing how mp3s can bring back memories...back then i was young...LoL and much fatter but much healthier...LoL

i get along well with most of my classmates that sometimes i feel like im a social butterfly...LoL....cos the subgroups tend to have lunch together either with their group members or cliques....for me, i get along pretty much with everyone in my class except a couple of moronic idiots....i tend to eat lunch with different2 groups at times...
today i ate with Ada's group.....was eating away chit-chatting and all, then the topic of houses comes in.....they said if im single i cant buy a new flat....oh wells if im still single at 35, im not that choosy...as long as im nearer to work...then Ada said her new house will only be occupied by herself n her hubby and their cat....she asked if i wanted to rent one of the rooms....its in toa payoh, near swimming pool, near food, and nearer to my future workplace.....well, i might consider since i offered to up the rent to Bird's mom.....in fact ill save if i rent Ada's place provided she charge reasonably....she said she will tell me when they finally move in....i think itd be cool...i can get along well with Ada, dunno bout her hubby...well, we'll see....

the past 2 pots of chicken curries that i cooked, i find that i forgotten to add something.....yest was when i discovered what i missed out that had an effect on the taste, tomato paste.....
today i cooked sardine-curry....i mixed the curry with the tomato-gravy already came from the can of sardines....fish sauce as a salt substitute and 2-3 tablespoons of lime juice just to bring down the 'fishy-ness'.....by far, i would say this is the best pot ive ever made....the lime juice actually gave the curry this a little sour taste like the fish curry u eat with prata....mmmm....seems like there's going to be more sardine-curry......

i cant wait till i gain my spending power back....subscribing to various sites for their products updates and all are certainly poisonous.....apple just mailed their new line of macbook pro....more powerful ones...more ooomph.....i definitely want one, some day....and that canon advert about going out to shoot just about anything, thats poisonous...although i dont intend to get a canon but i will get a dslr, a nikon to be precise, dslr have the luxury of shooting as many shots as you please without burning small little holes in your pocket that will degenerate your pockets in the long run like film slrs....but that doesnt mean i will abandon film....i will still shoot film....
life has been more fun and enjoyable when you mix with all kinds of ppl, i have a variety of frens....all different....and in school i tend to mix with everyone, different groups at times....its fun to learn about the different personalities of ppl and actually discover how disgusting some can be.....
i dunno about u but i find that time management really gets you to enjoy life...i know its a bit late to realise that....but ive been providing balance for my life recently....i set priorities and i do set time for myself to enjoy for instance like yesterday when i decided to go for a sunset shoot with mankey....and for instance on saturday when i went skating with ratnor before slogging in front of my macbook finishing my presentation slides....i learnt this...sometimes i just have to say no to temptations and indulge myself later on.....it helps....:)

the second makes ur slides look sui....perfect but she's too anal for comfort....its not that i am not happy, she just bruised my ego....i put in effort, i can say alot till i felt my eyes wanna rot, i was incharged of the education part of our presentation. i accept my mistakes on certain issues as i misunderstood and overlooked, me i get careless at times, so its fine she corrected it, in fact im thankful that she did took effort to look at my 'editorial' works and corrected it to the millimeter. im ubber greatful that i would give her a kiss if she permits(amik kesempatan). but she changed the whole presentation to a total new look that bruised my ego....uwaaaaa... luckily im not a person with a huge ego......okla i accept la the new look was more colourful but i 'banked' in on black because i tot black gave the impact needed on educating youths on safe sex. but anyway thanks a million that she's in our group....made the slides look so pro....phew...

sweet & sexy
nature was sweet n sexy.....as im slacking away after chit-chatting with my cuz, i decided to look for sunset, grabbed the cameras and hopped on my runner....it was almost 7pm, i rode, i saw the yellow-orangey sky.....then i saw the sun, in bright shade of orange.....as i approached kje towards tuas, it was ubber sexy, the round yolk-like sun just illuminates the sky around it in a shade of orangey-auburn....sexy, so super sexy that it was just enough to make my day, i knew i couldnt reach a place in time where i can shoot....so its either i stop by the shoulder of the expressway or race against time....i decide the later because i do not wanna risk my life standing by the zooming cars.....i didnt make it but i was happy anyways cos the sight of the sun was ubber sexy....it was round and mid-way to setting.....ubber awesome....ill try to capture it the next time round so i can show you guys.....
still on my project work....sucks....socio project sucks...cos alot of research needs to be done and im yet to be done.....so well, i gotta go...
and tina, hahaha paiseh wont join u running until im fit enough, else id be left behind. im far from fit, i can barely run 2km let alone run 10rounds around the track. so maybe next time yeah, ill join u....and the comp in december, nah...i got bad knees, i dont think i can join you to compete....
ol skool rocks
watever it is, ol skool still rocks....be it shoes, fashion, gadgetries or music. somehow the original stuff where it all started is the coolest and rocks most. take for example cameras and music....
ive always loved reggae and peter tosh is one classic icon with his tunes although less successful than bob marley....i would say bob gain his popularity partly thru his death and his lyrical, appeal and showmanship.....cut story short, peter tosh is just as good. the original reggae tune is still the best....slight changes like upbeat tunes in bands like ub40 still makes my body movin...i still love the ol skool tunes...

for the polaroid lovers around the world......those who loved the fact that you can see what you shot on your camera moments after before digital invaded the film world... its official, polaroid has ceased production.
"Polaroid has already quietly halted production of instant cameras. "We stopped making commercial-type cameras about 18 to 24 months ago, and we stopped making consumer cameras about a year ago," said Beaudoin."

its time for me to stock up, scout for the little stores thats still selling and stock up. i would want polaroids for special moments, it has this character that no other cameras can achieve even the existing fuji-instax range. the classic feel is just super sexy. its an icon of growing up. polaroids has been with us while we grow up, taking those passport photos, or fun2 fotos. i still have a foto of me & mom at science center with t-rex at the dinosaur exhibition. i still have the foto where my fren snapped of me and my vespa, both has yellowed thru age but still it is sexy to look at, no other cams can give that feeling. its just sad that they stopped production, why must they surrender to defeat? there's still polaroid lovers around the world. looks like when the films totally run out, i'll switch to fuji, the camera yamusama yone is using. that will replace the polaroid in a way but not totally.
for those who knows which shops still selling polaroid films, kindly tell me cos i wanna stock up.

was suppose to go to triple-d, uncle mike invited all lomotioners there for the lion dance event. he invited the lion dance crew and us there to what else but shoot fotos. i woke up early at 10am but slept again and end up waking up at 1pm, a little to late to go so i decided not to. id be a good boy, chill at home, do as much revision as i can and probably check out if miao lan is open and send in my roll of sensia400. then to mom's place, chill there and back again to revisions. i have to discipline myself, divide time....like yest, i resisted rashid's offer to shoot sunset with his gf at labrador bcos i already am going skating at night and i promised myself i will start on bio and i did...though im still less than half way thru but i think im ok. i dunno if i can get A for bio bcos this time round, its microbiology, studying bacterias, viruses and all the naked eye couldn't see.....tough one.

mini downhill mishap
its been 2months or more since we last skated and being at the age we were.....muscle rigidity sets in......im getting lousier by the days....so little skating nowadays waddya expect....i hope theres more skating cos id wanna be ripping the concrete jungle again...
bruises, lacerations and abrasions all part of skating....no pain, no gain....
interest vs rice bowl
my cuz whos like 3months younger than me asked yesterday, 'so, what do you think should i pursue my interest or see market and carry on with the line im already in?". I said to him, "At our age its important to look for stability FIRST, look for something that will secure you..."
well, that was what happened to me but im glad im into nursing cos its part interest part 'iron rice bowl'. i will still pursue my interests, my close ones knows what it is........but for now, being alone and independent i have to aim and make sure that 'iron rice bowl' is in my hands first.

anyways, im kinda glad being single actually.....i dunno im spoilt for choices...hahah for all i know i might end up like my uncle, still single till now...LoL......
anyways, im looking forward to my career and lots more things to come......and now, i just gotta hit the books...sorry guys....

my shutter were at bulb mode...for half the roll.......i hope everything turns out fine cos the lighting was fine and i snapped shot.....at most underexposed......i love the tele lens, except i find it hard to focus......need to get used to the focusing and zooming...

my latest hobby requires pumping in money everytime i need to process a roll....hey not cheap leh, so i scouted for 'miao lann' the fotoshop in bt batok....finally i found it and its cheaper to xpro there by $2.50, thats alot in the long run......10 rolls id save 25bucks....but id have to see the quality and if i like it or not.....if i do, i guess ill be seeing less of uncle mike......and wats more, miao lann does help their customers to send in bnw rolls to fotohub at beach road.....woots...
looks like you can expect bnw shots from me pretty soon....
bird wants me to shoot him for his solo myspace site......should see him play guitar...thatll be interesting...he'll pay for the processing.....heheh why not.....

the initial plan was just to change oil and front tyres....and consider changing transmission belt...that would cost maybe around 300?
ok so front tyres....70bucks....then decided to do the whole servicing, oil filter, etc and all and my belt theres crack already...so better change...plug still good but changed anyway, rollers new...then wham...spotted a nail on the back tyre...fuckaroo had to fork out another 75buckx..in the end i spent a total of sgd390 in that few hours, im dead....
followed hairi for his bike inspection and followed by lunch at al-ameen...his treat, phew...saw my uncle on his loud harley...he's living life, that should be it... having a family doesnt mean you have to ditch ur hobbies....or what u like to do provided its nothing rude or indecent la....uncle, you gotta add my name to ur harley man...hahaha neh i doubt uncle taha would do so.....but anyway his ride, rad...awesome...
rain was ubber boring and the b-quatret gig at arthouse was given a pass bcos of the pricey ticket and birdman and me was kinda broke oredi...harharhar...ive yet to pay ranon for the polaroid films and the monthly rent and not mentioning bills....so stay home saturday it is.....next wednesday...todd sweeney, today till wednesday try not to spend so much....

i dont mind paying subscriptions to broadband monthly partly bcos of this, it does save my ass when i need to....but i guess after july, itll be the one draining my wallet...hahahahaha...

one of the rare occasion that i ride a bicycle....and the seat being hard and small plus my butt being big is no fun at all....butt cheeks cramp after about 4hours of cycling...but was a fun trip. it was like not in singapore....somewhere different from the bustling city life, away from the books, work and heavy traffic & people.....once in awhile you need this kinda trips, healthy for the mind & body...

dont care
ive reached to the point of shooting, where i dont fucken care whether ppl look at me, ridicule, criticize, comment or made rude remarks...it was me by myself when the rest had gigs to go, had deals to attend to and was still at work....after sending to mike for developing, i roam the bugis area unloaded before i just felt the urge, sat one corner and loaded another roll, snapping pictures of devotees hugging the huge buddha, the idols on top of the temples, passer-by, trishaw apeks....its just the joy of snapping away....im obsessed? well, wats your definition of obsession? well i would think if it disrupts daily routine...but nah, havent reach that stage....
it is just providing the joy, macam skateboarding, u'll have the joy for days if u landed a trick you've practiced for many many days, its just the same with cameras....the joy it provides me. and like ratnor said, its like an external hard-drive.....when u look back at the fotos, you recall wat a fun day it was or just look at the details that a 35mm frame can capture. it tells a story. when i have enough funds, im going to print selected prints, the ones thats not out of focus and looking good. and keep it for memories.....i still have alot of albums at bukit batok awaiting to be organized, memories of my trips, my vespa days and many more....life, sigh....sometimes u look back at the good times and it just makes u ahh.....
im up early, im sleepy, eye bags, cos the coffee made me sleepy only at 3am+.......but why im awake, the joy, the excitement makes me give a second thought going to ubin to shoot with the rest.....so here i am....still contemplating...looking at my time-table and all......i think i can. and so i will.
